The curtains from the Samsung Galaxy S4 have been pulled off and smartphone is expected to hit the shelves on the  26th of next month. HTC flagship smartphone ‘HTC One‘ is also expected to arrive anytime soon. The iPhone 5 from Apple is already shining in the stores. Those who are looking to buy a new smartphone, the task of picking one out of these three is really going to be very tough. Which one do you think deserves the tag of ‘best’ of these three? Samsung Galaxy S4 rules the specs sheet

Design

Dimensions of the new esteemed smartphone from Samsung are 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9 mm. It is thinner than its predecessor. Weight of the device is 130g.

Dimensions of Apple iPhone 5 are 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm. It is slightly lighter than Samsung Galaxy S4, as it weighs 112g.

The upcoming flagship from the HTC has got the dimensions of 137.4 x 68.2 x 9.3 mm, while its weight is 143g.

Display

The 5.0-inch screen is there in Samsung Galaxy S4. This is Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that offers 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 provides protection to it.

Talking about the iPhone family, the iPhone 5 has the largest size which is 4 inches. The LED-backlit IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen offers display resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels. For the protection, it has got Corning Gorilla Glass, oleophobic coating.

HTC One has got 4.7 inches Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen with the display resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protects it from scratches and dust.

Processor & OS

The processor in Galaxy S4 is Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7. The chipset is Exynos 5 Octa 5410. Experts say that it is the ‘Fastest’ smartphone ever. Operating System is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Processor in iPhone 5 is Dual-core 1.2 GHz and chipset is Apple A6. iPhone 5 runs iOS 6 operating system that is upgradable to iOS 6.1.2.

HTC One is powered by Qualcomm APQ8064T Snapdragon 600 chipset. The processor is Quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300. It runs Android OS, v4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

Memory

Samsung Galaxy S4 will be available in three models varying in internal storage capacity. Three variants will be of 16, 32 and 64GB storage. The expandable memory will be 64GB via microSD card. 2GB is the RAM in Galaxy S4.

iPhone 5 is available in 16/32/64 GB storage models. It does not have slot for microSD slot. RAM is 1GB.

HTC One will be available in the market in 32/64 GB memory variants without any support for microSD card.

Camera

Primary and Secondary camera in the Galaxy S4 respectively are 13MP and 2MP. You may find these specs in any smartphone, but the features like ‘Drama Shot’, ‘Dual Shot’ etc. are unique part of Galaxy S4. These features are what you cannot see in any other smartphone available now.

iPhone 5 has got the Primary Camera of 8MP and Secondary Camera of 1.2MP. Primary Camera supports 1080p video recording, while the 720p@30fps is the quality that you get in the videos that you shoot by secondary camera.

HTC One has 4MP Primary Camera. Don’t take it lightly, as it boasts the Ultrapixel technology. This technology is the major attractive point in HTC One. Secondary Camera is 2.1MP.

Battery

Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery is there in Galaxy S4. Alas! no official data is available about the talk time, just like the case of HTC One, in which the battery is Non-removable Li-Po 2300 mAh battery. The iPhone 5 has Non-removable Li-Po 1440 mAh battery (5.45 Wh) which is rated to provide talk time of Up to 225 h.

It’s hard to decide the winner at this point as two out of these three devices are yet to reach our hands.
